Major Contract Success

Innovate Logistics are pleased to announce that they have signed a 10 year contract with Nestle to operate a 75,000 pallet automated facility in Bardon, Leicestershire.

The existing relationship that Innovate Logistics have with Nestle at their Scunthorpe location is not affected by this contract.  Innovate has purchased this Bardon facility from Nestle and entered into a sale and leaseback of the facility with a major UK based Investment Fund.

The majority of the workforce at the Bardon site presently employed by TDG will transfer to Innovate on the 1st July 2007.

Innovate are to further extend this facility by the building of a 138,000 sq ft extension and generally enhance the existing facility to make it their flagship distribution centre, serving Nestle and other customers. Upon completion of the work the facility will extend to more than 600,000 square feet and accommodate in excess of 100,000 pallet spaces, 50% of which will be managed by a fully automated Demag pallet handling system
