Dettifoss was built in Denmark in 1995 and is the 5th vessel with that name. The vessel came in service for Eimskip in 2000, at the same time as it’s sister vessel Godafoss. Dettifoss calls ports in Iceland, The Faroe Islands and Northern Europe operating on the blue line.
