It is highly recommended that all shippers take out marine insurance for their shipments. Eimskip UK sells cargo insurance as an agent for among others Sjova-Almennar, an Icelandic insurance company. The company can provide both open cover declaration contract where a special insurance contract is made to cover all future shipments, or a single sale contract where an individual shipment is covered.
