As Eimskip’s scope of operations has increased substantially over recent years, and the company’s turnover having tripled during the past two, a new organizational chart has been implemented at the company.  The goal of the organizational changes is to support this extensive growth and strengthen the company’s infrastructure for further development in the future. There are six performance units in the new organization, divided according to geographical location.A separate unit has been established that will work across the Group to ensure integration and co-operation between operating areas.

“As a result of considerable organic growth and purchases of companies over the past two years, we need to adapt the organization of the company to altered circumstances in our operation,” says Baldur Gudnason, CEO of Eimskip.
Eimskip’s future vision is to maintain a market leading advantage as a total transport and logistics company in the North Atlantic, be a leading force in short sea transportation in the Baltics and Russia, and to be a key entity in temperature-controlled transportation on a global scale.

Eimskip’s basic policy is to operate a transportation network, both on land and at sea, as economically as possible so that customers are unable to find a more economical or better service.
