Staff changes

Ingunn B. Vilhjálmsdóttir, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, and Hanna Katrín Friðriksson, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Communication, have decided to leave Eimskip as of December 1st. Heiðrún Jónsdóttir has been hired as an Executive Vice President in Eimskip Corporate office. Her job will be administrating Human Resources and Corporate Communications.

Ingunn has worked at Eimskip for 9 years. She started working in the education department in June 1998 and took the job of specialist in the Human Resource department in 2000. She became Eimskip’s educational manager in September 2004 and the Human Resources- and eductational manager later that same year. In 2005, Ingunn graduated with an MBA degree from Reykjavik University and in October 2005 she took the job of Executive Vice President of Human Resources.

Hanna Katrín began working at Eimskip on August 9th 2005 as a consultant to the CEO of Eimskip and later became the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Communication. Hanna Katrín graduated with an MBA degree from the University of California in 2001. She has B.A. degrees in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Iceland.

Heiðrún was born at Husavik in 1969. She finished her matriculation exam from the Commercial College of Iceland in 1989. She finished her candidate exam in Law from the University of Iceland in 1995 and became a solicitor in the fall of 1996. She took an exam in Human Resource Management from the University of Akureyri in 1999 and finished her validation exam in security broking in 2006.

Heiðrún worked as a lawyer in Lögmannstofa Akureyrar from 1995-1998. She was the Human Resource manager and lawyer of KEA and its subsidiaries from September 1998 to May 2001. Heiðrún was the manager of information and marketing at Síminn from 2001 to 2003. She began working at the law firm Lex in 2003 as an Executive Vice President and later as a partner. Heiðrún currently lives with Mr. Jóhannes Sigurdsson, deputy CEO of Milestone. She has two children and three stepsons.
