Eimskip Greenland A/S has acquired the port agency and forwarding activities of Royal Arctic Line (Royal Arctic Spedition) in Greenland. The acquisition will be effective from May 1st, 2023, when conditions for completion have been fulfilled.

Eimskip has operated a freight forwarding office in Nuuk in Greenland since 2020. The acquisition will further strengthen Eimskip´s position in its home market in the North Atlantic and enable the Company to strengthen its service portfolio in the Greenlandic market.

The acquired operations consist of freight forwarding services, and agency services for vessels calling Greenland, such as cruise ships and trawlers. Eimskip has built strong agency business in Iceland and the Faroe Islands and now enters the Greenlandic market which has seen increased cruise traffic in recent years.
