Contingency plan activated to limit effects of incident at Kleppsbakki

Monday, May 27, 2019

An incident occurred at Sundahöfn port on Sunday morning where Naja Arctica, a vessel owned by Royal Arctic Line hit Kleppsbakki pier and caused considerable damage.  The repair is estimated to take 6-8 weeks.

This did not affect operations at Sundahöfn today Monday and the company's contingency plan has been activated to limit the effects. Weather conditions are good and the Eimskip team is now working day and night to make sure that the incident has as little impact on operations as possible.

Customers that have cargo in our vessels will be informed as needed.
