Eimskip and Royal Arctic Line co-operation commences in June

The co-operation between Eimskip and the national carrier of Greenland, Royal Arctic Line (RAL), will commence on 12 June when RAL‘s new vessel Tukuma Arctica sails from Denmark to Iceland. Eimskip dismisses civil action against the Icelandic Competition Authority

In a court hearing today in the civil case that was filed against the Icelandic Competition Authority last November the company stated that it would dismiss the civil action. The case will be concluded in the coming days with a verdict from Reykjavik District Court where a conclusion will also be made on litigation costs. The reason for this decision relates to the unprecedented circumstances in the society.

Eimskip sells the container vessels Godafoss og Laxfoss

Eimskip has made an agreement to sell two container vessels for USD 3.9 million (EUR 3.5 million). The 1457 TEUS container vessels Godafoss and Laxfoss are 24 years old and have been operated by Eimskip for nearly 20 years. Íslandsbanki funds a new cold storage facility for Eimskip

Reykjavík, April 8th 2015. Íslandsbanki and Eimskip have signed a loan agreement for EUR 10 million for the development of a 10,000 tonne capacity cold storage facility on company premises in Hafnarfjordur.
