Eimskip has appointed Erla María Árnadóttir as HR Manager of the company. She will lead Eimskip’s HR department and oversee the coordination and development of the company’s HR strategy on an international level. The HR department is part of Eimskip’s Human Resources and Communications Division, which also manages marketing and communications.
Alongside Erla’s appointment, Vilhjálmur Kári Haraldsson, who has served as the company’s HR Manager in recent years, will assume the role of HR Manager at Eimskip’s office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Extensive experience in HR at Eimskip
Erla began working at Eimskip in 2009 as a project manager in the IT department and has since held various positions within the Company. She has worked in the marketing department and as Head of Training, but for the majority of her career she has been engaged in HR. She left the company in 2024 and now returns from Travel Connect, where she served as HR Manager.
Erla holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in International Business and Marketing from the University of Iceland, as well as having completed basic studies in coaching.

Leading HR in the Netherlands
Vilhjálmur joined Eimskip in 2021 and has played a key role in shaping and developing HR matters in recent years. In his new role, he will lead HR in the Netherlands and support local managers and employees. He holds a B.Ed. degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. Vilhjálmur has over 20 years of experience in HR across various companies and institutions. He has also been a football coach for around 30 years and holds a UEFA A coaching license.
